CCI Programs

Starting Point

Starting Point is a CCI’s workforce development and self-sufficiency program for needed young adults to be equipped with career- and life-readiness skills.

In July 2019, CCI hosted 4 aged-out orphans from S. Korea to the States.

They are currently in college and at work, and they previously went through the “Dream-Fulfillment Program” with CCI. Through the program, each of them made a journey to find his or her dream and hope; thankfully, they all made it to where they had wanted and hoped to get to. To help them solidify and grow their dreams and hopes, CCI re-hosted them the States this year, offering English language training, cultural experience, and Transforming Impossible Into Possible (TIP)® program for a full month. It’s our 5th year celebrating “Make Good Things Happen” with these Shinmangwon children!

In August 2019, upon signing MOU with Handong Global University (Handong Institute for Peace and Reconciliation) in Korea on preparation to grow and develop next-generation leaders for Korean reunification, CCI hosted 4 North Korean defector students at Handong Global University to the Metro Atlanta area for a month-long program. They were on English language training, cultural experience, and Transforming Impossible Into Possible (TIP)® program by CCI, and they also had chances to give speeches as guest speakers at various non-profit organizations and agencies. It’s our first time to host North Korean young adults to the States since CCI began working on North Korean Child Welfare Act of 2012 (HR 1464).
