2016 Overseas Koreans Foundation Grant Project

In July 2016, CCI launched the leadership program for teenagers and young adults at a local church through volunteer work. This specialized program is funded by 2016 Overseas Koreans Foundation Grant and will last till October 2016.

This youth volunteer and leadership program is one segment of CCI’s staple program, F.R.I.E.N.D.S., which stands for Freedom, Restoration, Integrity, Encouragement, Nurture, Determination, and Self-sufficiency. F.R.I.E.N.D.S. helps 1.5 and 2nd generation youth immigrants who suffer various psychological and emotional hardships, so that they can become psychologically self-sufficient through the program. Also, this program promotes the sound and balanced growth and development of this young population via volunteer work experiences, and they become able to choose right career paths and developments.
